NOVATEC
NOVATEC™, an ultra-low-viscosity, LAO-base synthetic fluid system suited for use in deepwater operations, drilling in environmentally sensitive and high-differential pressure environments, is especially suited for cold water and ERD applications. The system features low plastic viscosity, low toxicity, low oil-on-cuttings retention while providing high ROPs and good hole cleaning. Its rheological properties help make the NOVATEC system suitable for drilling in underbalanced conditions.
